I am always inspired by things that I experience everyday.

For the first project, I didn’t intentionally propose anything. Instead, I kept doing things I need to do and see if anything pop into my mind. The first thing I did for Day1 is unpacking my stuff.

I realized that I had a tendency to collect things. Then, I found out all the things I collected.

Day2 Tickets on View

The collection of stuff reminded me of memories that I don’t even remember. It is good to look back sometimes.

I started to frame those tickets in the acrylic frames, displaying as a collection with 5 colors.

Day3 4:46 4:58 5:05

Throwing back made me notice how fast the time goes. It’s really fast if we watch it carefully.

Scrutinizing the light through my kitchen, I outlined the shadow created by sunlight at different times on canvas. Then, I made it into an abstract painting to represent the passage of time.

Day4 Roll of Emotions

Waiting for the light to change for the last project, I became impatient gradually. That’s what’s we can see from the lines I drew on the canvas.

Exploring how lines represent emotions, I created a line using to describe 7 emotions on a roll of toilet paper.

Day5 Organic vs. Organic

When doing the last one, the tape was driving me crazy because I could not make perfect lines by using it.

However, after finishing the project, I started to love that texture. The imperfections made it looks organic.

Then, I was interested in observing used bottles and cans and made organic shapes out of them, using plaster and fabric.

The flowing texture of plaster made me intend to do something to stop them from “melting”. Thus, I put them into the fridge.

Also, inspired by René Magritte’s idea of playing with words, I intentionally included a box of organic eggs on the left, meaning the real organic egg versus organic shapes.
