Here’s come the moment when I give to you my top five list of my “songs of the summer”. Before we start, let me tell you that the songs which follow are new, so it means that I won’t talk about a song that I already told about on a latest article. Some of them may probably me predictable, but I bet and hope that you’ll discover some new musics on it. So here it is.
At the fifth place came “Home Alone” the first single of the ex-act Ansel Elgort, starred in the movie “The Fault In Our Stars” or in the Divergent trilogy. After his music debuts under his DJ name “Ansolo”, today Ansel publish his first single, wrote, composed and sang by Ansel himself. A new dance song which make sparks, heady, that could, but unfortunately won’t be, the song of the summer, even if the track had everything for it. A very good discover.
Then, I may probably going to talk about the infectious “All In My Head (Flex)” song by Fifth Harmony featuring Fetty Wap. While a year ago, the world was falling in love with the now classic “Worth It”, the American girlsband did it again earlier this year with the successful “Work From Home”, taken from their second album “7/27", which is actually one of the biggest success of 2016 so far. Today with “Flex”, the girls played once again the sexy card with a hot music video and some subjective lyrics ; The song with some summer vibes and beach spirit, was obviously predestined to be the summer song by Fifth Harmony. Besides, the song has all the ingredients to be aired on the radios worldwide. After the success of “Work”, this one will be far away behind its predecessor’s success, but will still be a hit.

At the third position, I chose Miss Britney Spears with her come-back single “Make Me …” featuring G-Eazy. I have to admit that I was very (very) impatient to hear the single after the leaks that preceded the official release date. But when the big day came, I was a little disappointed, because I thought that the music was indeed quite different of the last Britney’s records, but not very researched. The pre-chorus is very good, like if something big was happening (I hoped the chorus), but when the “Make Me Oooh Oooh Oooooh” came, I was like “Oh okay, all that for some robotic Oooh?” so I was a little bit confused, because I really felt something good in this track. The G-Eazy’s part give an urban vibe to the song which upgrade the level of it. But after some others listening, the song is not as bad as I thought it was at the first listening, and is at the contrary quite cool, and the fact that this pop song is not a fast-tempo, but a more sensual one, give it a charm which was no longer present in the last songs of Britney’s discography. Not the song of the decade, and probably not the one that we’ll remember of the singer’s career but still a good song which could take the leads of many charts all around the world in the next days.

Here’s my number two : I’m according this one to DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber on “Let Me Love You”. This song is from the brand new DJ’s album “Encore”. When the tracklist was revealed, all eyes was on this track, and of course, not a Belieber missed the release of the album to listen another song of Bieber. After the success one year ago of the collaboration between Jack Ü and Justin on “Where Are Ü Now”, and the success of many of the single from “Purpose”, the Canadian singer became the “artist to have” on their records. Diplo renew the event with “Cold Water”, and now “Let Me Love You”. And my favorite song is the second one, for the clarity of Justin’s voice, the sweet production of the song by the French artist, and the chorus which is quite easy to remember and to sing along even during the first listening session. The lightness of DJ Snake’s production on it is delightful (but maybe not during the dance-part which is according to me, a little bit flat). A song which was already #1 just after its release, and will probably maintain at the top of the worldwide charts.

And finally my number one *drums* let me introduce you my summer crush, the song which make me dance and sing eve-ry sin-gle time : “Superlove” by Tinashe. I’ve to say that I don’t know a lot of the singer’s discography, except her participation on “Drop That Kitty” by Ty Dolla $ign with Charli XCX and “All Hands On Deck” that I heard only a few times. But early July, I saw a MTV article entitled “Listen SuperLove, the pop-cousin of Super Bass”, and since I loved (and still love) Super Bass by Nicki Minaj, I felt the need to discover this new song. And I wasn’t disappointed. This song got everything to be a summer song, and even the Song of the Summer : pop, a catchy chorus, radio-friendly, and all this beach, hot and summer vibes which give you the need to dance all night and have a great time with your friends and/or your boo. SuperLove is a must listen to this Summer 16 according to me, and if you haven’t heard it yet, please do yourself a favor and take 3 minutes of your time to discover it. You’re welcome.
