It’s important to be able to break down your vision for a feature or product into manageable chunks. Not only for implementation, QA, and deployment purposes, but also as end-to-end workflows or experiences that you can release without leaving your users in a dead end.

The actual isolation of the discrete chunks happens during sprint planning. I usually have an idea of what these are going to be, or what I want them to be, but in Scrum, it’s ultimately up to the people doing the implementation.
