Categorical rejections are part of why I didn’t actually date much before getting married. Dating is awful and ineffective. Far better to have an expansive social life and let people see you as a human being first before evaluating you by to more abstract measures.
I wrote about that at length on Medium. I dunno if it’s good form to link my own articles so I won’t, but I really do think dating is shit and a waste of time. No one wants to be reduced to something crude and incomplete like a little online blurb, and it’s impossible to know anything useful about someone from said blurb. It’s just a way to accumulate rejections and pain. Don’t date.
