It was a tumultuous week in the MLB. We have more changes than not this week especially in the top 15. The Rays and Cardinals improved in the rankings making some nice playoffs pushes. The Brewers almost fell out of the top ten this week while the Diamondbacks are now #12. Both teams have consistently been in the top ten throughout the season. The Angels and Phillies have been slowly regressing the past week. This is bad news for the Phillies who are amidst a tight NL playoff race and quickly finding themselves on the outside looking in. In other news, the Mets had a decent week and the Orioles reclaim their bottomfeeder status.
American League
- Boston Red Sox

I don’t have much to say about this that I haven’t already stated in previous weeks. This will probably be the playoff seeding.
National League
- Chicago Cubs
- Los Angeles Dodgers
- Atlanta Braves
- Milwaukee Brewers
- St. Louis Cardinals (last week: out of playoffs)
At this point, it’s hard to tell who will even win the East and West. For debate sake, let’s just say the Cubs, Dodgers, and Braves win their divisions. That leaves five teams still in the race by my estimates: Phillies, Brewers, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, and Rockies. I don’t think the Phillies will make the postseason since there are too many other good Wild Card teams. The Brewers, I think, have the best shot at securing a spot so let’s assume they’re in as well. That leaves the Diamondbacks, Cardinals, and Rockies. One of these three teams will make the playoffs, the other will not.
