Having held a couple of sales positions, I would say the aggregate amount of abuse you receive on a workday’s worth of cold calls is about equivalent to Alec Baldwin calling you a “cocksucker,” and doesn’t contain any of the benefits of Alec Baldwin calling you a “cocksucker,” such as it being awesome, or you having a pretty good story you can tell for the rest of your life.
