Much as losing Hayward hurts, the Jazz aren’t in a terrible position next year — they have Gobert and Ingles, they gained Rubio, and I think their Donovan Mitchell is going to surprise a lot of people in his rookie year. They need another wing to replace Hayward, but if they out-perform expectations this year, it might be possible for them to attract one in free agency. If players will give up money to play for a winner, wouldn’t they theoretically also be willing to give up a larger media footprint in order to get money playing for a winner?
