This does not seem like intense nationalism. As a presidential candidate, “Make America Great Again” is no more than a slogan. John Kerry’s slogan when he ran for president was “Let America be America Again.” I don’t know about you, but I don’t see much difference between Trump’s campaign message and Kerry’s campaign message — except that Trump’s sounds and resonates better.
