Gaming, like other entertainment industries, sits at a weird corner between tech, art, fun, loomed over by the ever-present and potentially exploitative hand of business. The tech world only cares about doing better when its fans demand it through their choices. I write commentary on games, tech, music, and their associated business and marketing practices with an eye on sustainability and consumer-first thinking. I've honed my thoughts on this stuff for the last twenty years.
In the mid 2000's I wrote reviews and tech commentary for a regional computer magazine in Portland, OR, before moving my writing off the page and onto the screen. I graduated from college in 2006 with a degree in film and video production, minoring in English literature. In addition to writing, I've also worked in audio editing and AM radio.
I'm not paid or asked by game or tech companies to write these stories, and all opinions are my own. On rare occasions in the past, I've accepted review samples, and these moments are fully disclosed in their respective articles. I've never used and will never use affiliate links as I believe they undermine all credibility.
