This 99 years old book is still up-to-date

It amazes me that one of the best books about advertising ever written, which is still cited today as a major source of inspiration by many advertisers and marketers, is almost 100 years old.

What’s even more striking is that the book content is still very much relevant to digital marketing, whereas it was written in 1923 by Claude C Hopkins.

Claud C Hopkins is one of the fathers of modern advertising methods, based on both a profound understanding of psychological motives behind an individual’s actions and a scientific approach to testing/measurement and iteration.

Books are a fantastic way to increase one’s knowledge. And this one in particular, is a must-read.

Don’t just take my word for it: Ogilvy, a renowned marketing agency founder, famously said, ”Nobody should be allowed to have anything to do with advertising until he has read this book seven times. It changed the course of my life.”
