If you want to generate any business online you know that you need a funnel to make it happen. If you haven’t built one yet you are way behind the game. Funnels have taken over the internet and everyone is trying to build one. Just like many other things in life a vast majority of these funnels fail. It’s sad but it is true because most people won’t take the time to test, optimize and refine their funnel.

They think they can throw something on the internet and it will make them money over night. I have spend the last three years building funnels so I know how much work they are and how to build a successful one. That’s why today I will share with you how to build a phone funnel that will work for you 24/7/365 collecting phone numbers for potential prospects/clients/customers for you online.

If there is one thing that I have learned over the past few years building my business is that if you don’t have systems in place to help you, you will fail or severely limit your growth. That’s why I advocate the use of funnels because the life blood of a business is sales and prospecting.

If you aren’t generating sales and new prospects consistently you will be stuck on the rollercoaster of doom. In order to force that rollercoaster to always be climbing build a funnel that does the work for you so you can focus on your business instead of worrying where the next sales are coming from.

So, by now you are probably asking what the heck is a phone funnel and how do I build one of those things. It’s really a simple process that anybody can pull off even if you aren’t super tech savvy.

A phone funnel is just like a regular funnel except its primary purpose is to collect phone numbers from your potential prospects instead of the typical first name and email. This type of funnel is perfect for people in the sales industry, high ticket products or any service type of business.

Phone Funnel Step 1

Create a free piece of content to give away in exchange for their phone number. This content has to be really good because people are more protective over their phone numbers then an email address.

That means you will have to give away something your audience really wants typically in the form of a video since the perceived value is much higher.

Also in order to pull this off you have to really know your audience so take time to figure out what they want, what issues they are having and what solutions they are looking for.

Phone Funnel Step 2

Once you have created your piece of content to give away, you need to use some of your tech skills and create a landing page. My go to software is Clickfunnels. Once you get setup you have a drag and drop builder that is pretty easy to use to create a nice looking landing page that you can split test.

You can also use other softwares like Instapage, Leadpages etc. You just need to make sure that your landing page can be connected to some kind CRM to collect your leads so you can keep track of all of them.

Once you have designed your landing page you want to make sure it request at least first name and phone number. You want to make sure you know who you are calling so it’s helpful to get their name as well when they opt-in.

Phone Funnel Step 3

Now that you have your funnel setup you need to get some eyeballs on your free offer. There are multiple ways that you can do this but they all take work. I made a short list of the most popular ways anybody can get traffic to their landing page for little or no cost.

  5. Blogging
  6. Instagram Marketing
  7. Medium Blogging
  8. Pinterest Ads

You just need to get your landing page out there in front of people. If nobody ever sees your offer then there is no way you can start collecting leads. You will have to figure out what traffic source works for you and optimize your offer, landing page and content to get the most out of that channel.

Phone Funnel Step 4

Now you need to start reaching out to your leads that come in via your funnel and close them. Once you start getting some results you will start to see where you need to optimize your process. Typically, you will have room for significant improvement on your initial landing page design. If you can get your conversion rates on your landing page around 40% you are in the top tier of landing pages.

Once your funnel is generating leads consistently for you focus on making sure you contact every lead. It makes no sense to have all these leads if you aren’t going to use them to help you dominate your industry.
