A new defence doctrine for Labour
Paul Mason

  1. It has been inferred that the need to scrap Trident is a Scottish vote winner, a vote that Labour sorely needs.
  2. From something I read, moving Trident from Faslane is impossible.
    a) there isn’t really anywhere else practical that it could go
    b) the cost and time constraints involved would be immense
Essentially if the Scots gain independence and want rid of Faslane it will be the end of Trident, I think.
