Thanks for sharing. I’ve been in the tech industry for 25+ years but always as my own boss. I know it’s not realistic for everyone, but the only way to avoid workplace racism is to start your own company. Otherwise, you will always be at the mercy of someone else. This time it was racism+sexism. In a few years, it will be ageism, because the tech industry doesn’t like older “workers” who can’t be abused. You may encounter some discrimination from VCs & investors, but at least you get to choose them or even kick them out if they misbehave. You’re very courageous & unbeknown to SquareSpace, this whole ordeal only made you stronger. Peace.
