When running local .bin, you should use “npm bin” instead of manually specifying where the bin directory is (so something like “$(npm bin)/<cmd>”). This way you can be deeply nested in your source directory or something and still be able to execute locally installed commands without needing to figure out how many directories you’d need to back out of; it also allows you to write scripts that are portable.
