What is a XOD particle and why is it important?
One of the first discoveries made when the original XOiD found Meka, was an ancient micro substance identified as a XOD Particle. While there are still mysteries around their origin, our scientists believe XOD particles are a foundational building block and precursor to creating all matter across the universe.
XELA has tasked our fleet with surveying the galaxy with the reward of XOD Particles. XOiD scientists are putting the final touches on the pan-dimensional fabricators and will soon be able to transmute these particles into ancient minerals, plants, and artifacts that will be essential to our new life, and make our home planets the thriving ecosystems they once were.
Beyond the training missions, 1 XOD Particle will be required in order to embark on each mission. Upon the next phase of discovery, XOD Particles will be transmuted into Minerals that will be vital to craft important equipment and gear for your experience in XELA Earth and the metaverse beyond.

At least one XOiD is required to accompany the starship on each mission. The goal is simple, to complete missions and acquire XOD particles. Each Starship has a maximum capacity of three XOiDs, each additional XOiD that is joined on a mission multiplies the success of acquiring XOD particles. Each XOiD trait acts as a booster which also increases the likelihood of acquiring XOD particles depending on the specific trait. XELA Earth users can stake up to 3 XOiDs on each mission which gives the highest chance of success in obtaining additional XOD particles.
Function & Mechanics
XOD particles are functional NFTs that play a critical role in the development and evolution of XELA Earth. They are the source code for XELA systems and the binding elements which all matter is derived from in this Metaverse. XOD Particles are scarce, alchemical assets that will be used to forge exciting in-game assets, like crafted armor, booster items, energy equipment, ship and vehicle upgrades, machinery, and collectible artifacts.
For players in XELA Earth, it is the primary mission to collect and acquire all of the XOD particles so that species may continue to evolve and that technology thrives. There is a fixed supply of XOD particles capped at 8,888. We’d like to say you’re all in this together, but that’s not the case, as a player in XELA Earth you are racing against your fellow explorers to collect as many resources as possible to build up your fleet and advance your technological capabilities in this new interstellar dimension.
XOD Particles are setting the supply for the finite resource system in XELA Earth. Particles can be burned to create minerals that are powerful crafting elements that enable the creation of beautiful equipment and mechanical components. See below for the first minerals XOiD scientists have documented and their understood use.
Particles express in an array of different colors with unique forging traits. Some are rarer than others and lead to more exciting elemental collisions. But they are all necessary to obtain in order to achieve harmony and growth for the communities on XELA Earth. The below diagram explains the known distribution of XOD Particles, their rarity, and their traits.
Scientists are still trying to understand the unique properties of XOD particles, but what is understood is their magnetic-like properties for other Particles. It’s been observed that the more XOD Particles users accumulate and take with them on missions increases the likelihood of finding more. The more XODs that are collected, the more minerals users will obtain which can be used to forge exciting in-game items. Forgeable equipment has a function in XELA Earth but can also be sold on Totem’s Marketplace.
