Hi Dane Sanders, very nice article. I really enjoyed it. I wonder if you could consider combining owner’s work with everydayness one in the same day? Or would you rather keep them separate?
I have been practicing this routine over the last 100+ days. I start with emotional labor for about 4 hours in the morning and after lunch I work on operational/tactical tasks. Depending on my actual work, I can shift time from one to the other but I minimum get 2 hours of emotional labor before I start responding to emails and executing on tasks. The book Deep Work by Cal Newport provided a very nice framework.
