I was born in the 1980’s right smack in the middle of Reagan and the ever growing war on drugs. Having grown up in public housing and learning from a young age about the need to push against laws that dehumanize us all I’m glad about the social movements of our time. In a way it’s a continuation of the Poor People’s Campaign and how far we have to go to truly be a nation that embraces our differences. Though we are from different generations I’m glad that some of our elders have taken a stand against the scourge that is neoliberalism that is destroying our economy and preventing solidarity.
