I have this general impression from last class that people are really careful when it comes to share and present their design in front of a group of people. I was a little bit disappointed when I saw some projects that had potential but were presented in a safe way (“boring”). Almost every project was presented in a visually pleasing/standard way. They all look good. But some don’t have an interesting narrative which from my point of view, is the most crucial part in design.
I enjoy Vincent’s presentation on Day 1: Break a Rule. I particularly appreciate his effort of inviting other people to participate in his design. When I think of the design, mostly I think and act in my own world, no other people allowed. I personally don’t internally enjoy interpersonal interaction with strangers or acquaintances. But I acknowledge the value of stepping out.

Vincent was in the same group as mine during bootcamp. I know that he is not great with technology for now. His background in media studies truly shines through his courage of reaching out to the outside world.
