[Electroneum mining pool]: How to join a mining pool for beginners

Since Electroneum opening, I have seen many people willing to be part of a mining pool different from the official one.

There are many reasons why a person would do this. It could be because there are seeking a pool with less people, with less fees etc.…

For a simplicity sake we are using a mining pool named “Electromine”.

Here a resume of what we will need:

First, you need to have an Electroneum wallet. Only people who register to their website can have one.
A miner, you can find some here (https://electromine.fr/#downloads) for the sake of simplicity
The address of the mining pool : eu.electromine.fr:3333

Depending of the operating system, the process is slightly different.

Mac OS

Go to https://electromine.fr/#downloads, under YAM Miner (by yvg1900) click on MEGA and choose yam-yvg1900-M7v-macos64-generic.tgz
Go to download folder, and open it. It should extract the content into a folder
Open Terminal.app,(you can type the commands cmd+space and type Terminal)
Type: “cd Downloads” then enter.
Then “cd yam-yvg1900-M7v-macos64-generic”, enter
Then “cd macos64-generic”, enter
Then to launch the miner “./yam -c x -M stratum+tcp://YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS:x@eu.electromine.fr:3333/xmr”. Replace “YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS” by your Electroneum wallet address that you can by logging into their website.
You are done :)

https://electromine.fr/#downloads, under YAM Miner (by yvg1900) click on MEGA and choose yam-yvg1900-M7v-win64-generic.zip
Go to download folder, and open it. Extract it to the Downloads folder
In the bottom left search bar, type “cmd” then enter.
Type: “cd Downloads” then enter.
Then “cd yam-yvg1900-M7v-win64-generic”, enter
Then “cd win64-generic”, enter
Then to launch the miner “yam.exe -c x -M stratum+tcp://YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS:x@eu.electromine.fr:3333/xmr”. Replace “YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS” by your Electroneum wallet address that you can by logging into their website.
