Joining a sumokoin pool to make the best out of low difficulty and global hashrate
Sumocoin is quite an old coin but since december it has got the attention of traders. Today might be the day to take the biggest opoortunity in your mining life.
The roadmap for 2018 is intersting (multi-sig-wallet, mobile wallets, online wallet), but as devs and community devs are quicker then expected, a new roadmap for 2018 will be released in early 2018. Let’s be excited about what devs are planning to do !
The coin being old, the number of people mining it is quite low. So it is easy to take advantage of the situation. The easiest way is to mine them through a pool, and lucky for you we have one ready for you !
Here a resume of what we will need:
- First, you need to have a Sumokoin wallet, we recommand this one : https://wallet.sumokoin.com/
- A miner, you can find some here (http://sumomine.fr/#getting_started) for the sake of simplicity
- The address of the mining pool : sumo.electromine.fr:3333 (You might need to adapt the difficulty according to your hardware)
Depending of the operating system, the process is slightly different.
Mac OS
- Go to http://sumomine.fr/#getting_started, under YAM Miner (by yvg1900) click on MEGA and choose yam-yvg1900-M7v-macos64-generic.tgz
- Go to download folder, and open it. It should extract the content into a folder
- Open Terminal.app,(you can type the commands cmd+space and type Terminal)
- Type: “cd Downloads” then enter.
- Then “cd yam-yvg1900-M7v-macos64-generic”, enter
- Then “cd macos64-generic”, enter
- Then to launch the miner “./yam -c x -M stratum+tcp://YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS:x@sumomine.fr:3333/xmr”. Replace “YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS” by your Sumokoin wallet address that you can by logging into their website.
- You are done :)
Windows
- http://sumomine.fr/#getting_started, under YAM Miner (by yvg1900)click on MEGA and choose yam-yvg1900-M7v-win64-generic.zip
- Go to download folder, and open it. Extract it to the Downloads folder
- In the bottom left search bar, type “cmd” then enter.
- Type: “cd Downloads” then enter.
- Then “cd yam-yvg1900-M7v-win64-generic”, enter
- Then “cd win64-generic”, enter
- Then to launch the miner “yam.exe -c x -M stratum+tcp://YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS:x@sumomine.fr:3333/xmr”. Replace “YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS” by your Sumokoin wallet address that you can by logging into their website.
- You are done :)
