WHY ARE INTROVERTS GREAT AT CYBERSECURITY

Introverts, by their very nature, tend to excel in fields where quiet, focused work is highly valued.
Technology is one such field, as it requires individuals who can work independently for extended periods of time, analyze complex systems, and come up with innovative solutions to problems. I should know I am a cybersecurity expert who has worked 20 plus years in the career field.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a well-known personality assessment tool that helps individuals better understand their own preferences and tendencies. One of the 16 MBTI personality types is INTJ, which stands for Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging. INTJs are analytical thinkers who thrive in careers that require strategic planning, problem-solving, and critical analysis. One such career that is particularly well-suited for INTJs is that of an Cyber Security Analyst. I am a rare INTJ and I believe it is what has allowed me to develop crustal knowledge and insights not many people in this field have.
Cyber Security Analysts are responsible for protecting computer networks and systems from unauthorized access, theft, and damage. They design and implement security measures to safeguard digital information, and are skilled at identifying and responding to potential threats.
So what are some reasons why introverts are often well-suited to technology:
1. INTROVERTS EXCEL AT DEEP FOCUS
One of the defining characteristics of introverts is their ability to concentrate deeply and focus for long periods of time. In technology, this is a valuable skill, as many tasks require intense concentration and attention to detail. Introverts are often able to block out distractions and work through complex problems without becoming overwhelmed or distracted.

Introverts excel in these roles because they are able to think deeply and develop creative solutions.

In conclusion, introverts often make excellent technology professionals due to their deep focus, independence, creativity, problem-solving skills, and research abilities. While extroverts can also excel in technology, introverts have a distinct set of strengths that allow them to thrive in this field.
