No no, youre missing the point, guys. I KNOW what the card number is, but that doesnt matter. The card no longer is active. If the card is no longer active, there is no way to post a refund to it. Once I realized I lost it, I called the company and had them deactivate it and send me a new one. However, the new one will obviously not have the same number as the old one, and they way a refund to a credit card is done is by the number. If the card is no longer active, there is no possible way to put a refund to the account. They cant refund it to a new card, even if its the same account, because the cards’ numbers will be different. So thats why, as I said in the original post, I need to know if there is a way to get them to give me the refund as cash. Paying Before the Due Date On an Auto Loan?
Ok let me see if I can explain this a little better. I recently took out an auto loan with my bank a couple mos ago. It’s around $7600 @ 8.6% for 48 mos. I’m just a college student starting out. I have fairly good credit. Any who, my car payment is just under $200 a month. Since I have it with my credit union, I just have them take it out of my account. But what I do is this, when I first bought the car I made sure to cover @ least 3 car payments. So what I did was transferred those 3 car payments after I made my 1st one, from my account to my auto loan. Since it was around $900 dollars payed, it says the next car payment won’t be do till january 2010. =D BUT if I keep paying around $700 or so every 3 mos or $300 every month BEFORE the due date, won’t that money be applied DIRECTLY to the principle, instead of some of it going towards interest since my loan is on a fixed schedule? The way I have it figured the car should be paid off around the next year in a half or less. That way if I fall in a hole I have a few months to get up a car payment plus I’m saving on interest. I’ve only paid interest on time and that was around $80 (first car payment). The other 3 for the months of oct, nov, and december were applied directly to the loan, therefore I shouldn’t have paid interest and all that money went straight to the principle. Am I right? If I keep this up I will keep from paying interest on the life of the loan?””
