I can’t say that I have ever had a conversation with my daughter that was specific to being a “Rape Liar.” Is that really even a term? I don’t necessarily think I even need to qualify this. I don’t quite understand how teaching my daughter to be aware and safe and informing her about things such as rape, date rape, and sexual assault might result in her becoming a “Rape Liar” unless I specifically teach her not to be.

I prefer to stay away from a label that might possibly imply or reinforce a mindset that questions a victim’s credibility first.

However, I do teach all of my kids to have morals and to do the right thing. Along with that would be teaching them that it is always wrong to falsely accuse someone. I don’t tell my daughter not to be a “Rape Liar,” I teach her not to be a liar, period.
