1. Acrylic

2. Nylon

3. Polyethylene
This is a poor quality plastic that also has a waxy structure. These chairs are impact-resistant, durable, dent-resistant, and rust-resistant too!
4. Polypropylene
Polyethylene is one of the most popular thermoplastics. Chairs made of polypropylene are not breakable and lightweight. They are immune to any type of damage, mildew and weather damage. This type of plastic also has a natural feel and coating that makes it special too!
5. PVC
This plastic is hard and strong, but equally lightweight. It can be moulded, but is much less versatile than other thermoplastics. It is durable and one of the most cost-effective alternatives readily available on the plastic furniture market. These chairs do not require any maintenance at the time of purchase.
thermoset plastic
Thermosets are developed by heating to high temperatures and then cooling. Initially, the polymer is a fluid that irreversibly solidifies when heated. They will become stiff. These can also be used to make great plastic chairs. Here are the types of thermoset plastics used for chairs:
1. Melamine
This plastic is a thick, high-strength thermoset plastic. You can mold it into various shapes, however, you cannot reshape it. Melamine is a very durable thermoset plastic. It can be used to make chairs, but also to make tableware and laminate floors. It can also be used as a soundproofing product.
2. bakelite
Bakelite is a plastic mixture made from synthetic parts. It is used to make sturdy furniture structures. It is a durable and tough material. Still, bakelite is not considered the safest type of plastic. If there is a better option, it is best not to use it and use safer plastic furniture materials available in the market.
3. Epoxy resin
This type of plastic comes in the form of a paste before curing. It is a lightweight, high-strength composite product. Epoxy material is not used to make the frame of the plastic chair, it is used as the finish of the plastic chair. It protects against wear, damage and any kind of vandalism. Epoxies also have various other applications. It is used in metal finishes, electronic equipment as well as electronic components, LEDs, insulators, adhesives and more.
