Climate Change

What is climate change and is it real?

Climate change is the bad news story that isn’t going away.

From heatwaves to hurricanes, from droughts to floods, Extreme weather events are becoming more frequent, putting lives at risk. Human activity is causing our climate to change.

There is extensive evidence, including rising global temperatures, melting polar ice caps, more frequent and severe weather events, and shifts in ecosystems, that demonstrate the reality of climate change.

The primary driver of current climate change is the emission of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, primarily from the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. These gases trap heat in the Earth’s atmosphere, leading to global warming and the associated impacts on the climate.

The CO2 emissions from our cars, our industries and our power plants are heating up the planet. To prevent further dangerous levels of climate change, Countries around the world signed up to the Paris Agreement.

The Paris Agreement aims to keep global warming below 2 degrees to stop the planet getting warmer, we need to reduce the use of fossil fuels and increase the share of renewable energy, like wind and low carbon sources.

Addressing climate change is a critical global challenge that requires collective efforts to mitigate its impacts and adapt to the changes that are already occurring.

Therefore, to address climate change one needs to move towards “Climate Action” and make efforts to reduce carbon emissions and take initiative towards a sustainable future.

Climate action is everyone’s responsibility being it governments, businesses, communities or individuals.

The actions we can take to reduce our carbon footprints, like investing in green technologies can also reduce costs and create jobs, and implement sustainable practices to combat climate change and protect the environment for future generations.

The risks and costs of interaction are too high too ignore.

So, what are we waiting for? The time to act is now!

Hopefully my work was informative enough to add some value to your life :)))
