Which Zip Code In Las Vegas Appreciated The Most Last Year?

89106. Yes, homes in one of the oldest parts of town appreciated the most last year, according to SalesTraq. If you owned a home here, you enjoyed a 22.8 percent jump in price, year-over-year.

№2 was 89146 which radiates from Sahara and Jones. Homes there experienced a 17.5 percent price hike.

89106

№3? 89030 around Cheyenne and the 15.

What do these three zip codes have in common? They are:

  • Older housing stock
  • Have a high number of bank-owned homes. In 89106 more than 6 percent of homes were vacant, nearly triple the valley’s rate of 1.2 percent.
  • Are centrally located with great freeway access
  • Are affordable! The valley’s median price at the end of last year was $199,999. This is well above the median sales price in these three zip codes.

All this adds up to a buying opportunity for investors, first-time home buyers and fixer-uppers. Old in Vegas is a home built before 2000. The statistics say buyers are reevaluating “old.”

What zip code had the highest median sales price last year? Summerlin, naturally: 89138. Alta west of the 215. The median sales price there was $365,000. Home prices there grew 10.6 percent.
