Why New OnlyFans Agency Owners Should Spend 80% Of Their Time On Recruiting
In this business, recruiting is 80% of your success — if not more.
Yet for some reason, people don’t like to focus on this.
Everyone obsesses over traffic. But if you don’t have anything to promote, then what difference does it make where your traffic comes from?
Models are a weak point for everyone. Because it’s not just that you need bodies to throw into the grinder — you need people who are actually good WORKERS.
So in this article, I’m going to lay everything out that I have learned in the past two months about recruiting.

Newsflash: Models Are Flaky
When I started out back in September, I had nothing. No models, no traffic source, no knowledge.
And I knew that my hardest task was going to be recruiting girls.
Other than one freaky girl I knew in real life, I didn’t really have a network of girls that I could throw into the adult industry.
So I did what I thought was best: I started spamming.
That first month, I sent around 3000 DMs to girls asking if they were interested in modeling. Back then I was focusing mainly on recruiting girls to be webcam models (which is harder work, IMO). But the process is the same.
What I quickly learned is that you should NOT get too excited when a girl says she wants to sign with you.
As men, aka logical rational creatures, here’s what we imagine the recruiting process to look like:
- We ask a girl if she wants to be a model
- She says yes
- We sign her
- She starts providing content
- We promote the content
- She provides more content
- Repeat ad infinitum
In my mind, at least, I always took models’ word at face value.
In the OF agency community, you hear a lot of guys get excited when they reach steps 2–5. But in reality, you don’t really “have” a model worth shit unless she reaches step 6.
It takes virtually no work for a girl to hop on a Zoom call with you or to click a few buttons and sign a contract.
But when it’s time for her to spend 30–60 minutes creating content, that’s where the process begins to break down.
I can’t count how many times I’d get an excited text from a girl along the lines of, “OMG THANK YOU FOR CONTACTING ME YES I’M SO INTERESTED!!!”
The call would go well and I’d sign her. But then she would crumble when it was time to do something as simple as verify her OF.
Changes to my hiring and onboarding processes
After literally dozens and dozens of experiences like this, I iterated a new hiring process.
What I realized is that many of these girls have virtually no professional experience in the working world.
When you sign them, they literally DON’T KNOW how they are supposed to act and it is up to you to EXPLICITLY tell them what to do.
For example, when I first started setting up Zoom calls with girls, I would set the time with them and send them a link to the call.
Frequently, they would show up 10, 15, even 30 minutes late. Obviously this was unacceptable, but at no point did I tell them not to be late.
So now when I set the call, I tell them explicitly, “Please be on time to the call.”
It sounds retarded, but this is how you have to talk to them.
Here’s another good example:
After signing a new girl, I send them an onboarding email with 3 tasks that need to be completed:
- Sign the contract
- Verify their identity on OnlyFans
- Send their first batch of content (10–20 videos of them using a sex toy and some pictures)
I used to just leave this open and say “do it as soon as possible.”
But what happened? They would take forever and I would have to chase them.
So now at the end of the call I tell them explicitly: you have 48 hours to get this done. If it’s not done within 48 hours, then we won’t work with you.
It doesn’t always work, but the point is that at every single step of the process, you have to tell the girls EXACTLY what they need to do. Otherwise, most of them will try to scrape by doing the bare minimum.
Look for superstars, not hotties
About two weeks ago, I found my first superstar.
Let me tell you.. if I had 10 girls like this, I’d be printing a million dollars this year.
And what she does isn’t particularly amazing. It’s literally just the bare minimum required to make this shit work.
The problem is that this industry is filled with power-drunk divas who think that because they get likes on their IG posts that they don’t have to actually put in work to make money on OF.
More specifically, they do not provide the volume and quality of content that is required to build a proper following.
But let me tell you about my superstar and why she’s so amazing.
First of all, let me tell you HOW I knew early on that she was a superstar.
You can tell a lot about someone based on their response to your opening message. My current opening message is relatively long and contains a link to a sales letter that I wrote that’s even longer.
I do this to weed out the people who are too stupid/lazy/uninterested to invest time into this.
If they won’t read a 20 page sales letter, then they won’t spend an hour creating content for me every day.
That said, the sales letter is the final iteration of a masterpiece that I created to save time on Zoom calls from explaining the same stuff over and over.
It also hypes up the models about how much money they’re going to make, how amazing we are, etc etc.
I can tell how good a model is going to be based on her response to my opening message.
If they respond with a few words something like, “I’m interested.” I know they are probably going to be shit.
If they respond with a wall of text something like, “OMG I’m so happy you contacted me! I’ve been looking for something like this for so long. I tried OnlyFans but I couldn’t do it blah blah blah…” Then I know there’s a good chance they’ll be good.
Guess which response I got from my superstar.
She does literally everything right.
- She verified her OF the same day I sent her the logins.
- She sent me the content the same day I asked for it.
- She responds to my text messages within minutes.
- She takes direction well when we tell her to make adjustments to her content.
She’s also nearly 40 years old with 4 kids.
But in her first week and a half, she’s grossed nearly $2500.
Why? Because she follows instructions and does what we ask her to do.
But like I said earlier, these girls aren’t going to magically know what to do unless you tell them.
The reason she is doing well is because I gave her clear instructions on what to do. Make this many videos, make them like this, etc.
All she had to do was to do what I asked.
You’d be surprised how hard it is to find people like that. Out of all the girls I’ve signed, she’s literally the only one.
Recruiting: expectations vs reality
Since starting this journey, I’ve gone through periods where I recruited actively and periods where I stopped recruiting.
My rationale was that once I had onboarded a few models, it was time to take a break and get them up to speed.
The problem I ran into was that not all models onboard at the same pace. Hence the 48 hour rule.
But beyond that, a lot of these girls drag their fucking feet like you wouldn’t believe.
Again, as a man, you would think the process goes something like this:
- Recruit girls
- Verify OF
- Get content
- Promote content
- Repeat
But what it really looks like is this:
- Recruit girls
- Wait 3 days for them to verify OF
- Get a few shit videos from them with bad lighting
- Wait a week for them to send you better videos, but still shit
- Post them and get no results
- Ask for more
- They ghost you
- You start over
This business “seems” easy. Girls post their naughty bits online and simps rush in to spend money on them.
And I’m sure that as men, each and every one of us KNOWS that if we had a woman’s body, we’d all be millionaires.
Not because we’re smarter (even though we are), but because we are not opposed to working for a few hours a day to make a bunch of money.
But it’s crazy how despite being given this incredible gift at birth, these women are just so incredibly lazy even when the potential payoff is literally life-changing amounts of money.
Anyway, it’s for this reason that you always have to be recruiting.
What could go wrong?
Here’s a list of things that could go wrong:
- She doesn’t have a valid ID
- She’s an idiot and can’t figure out how to verify her OF
- She changes her mind last minute just because
- Her content is bad
- She doesn’t take direction well
- She takes too long to provide content
- She doesn’t provide enough content
- She doesn’t respond to your texts within a reasonable time frame
- She doesn’t verify other accounts when necessary
In the first few weeks, this business requires a lot of back and forth between us and the models.
We need to get her creating content that converts (which we have a formula for), and we need to get her verified on certain platforms so her reach is extended.
In order for this to work, you need to set expectations early on that this is going to happen.
A lot of these girls sign up and think they can get away with sending you 2–3 mirror selfies per day and make $20k/month.
You have to pop that balloon ASAP because it doesn’t fucking work that way unless you’re already famous.
And even if you get a girl who says she’d love to work with you, it’s all meaningless until she actually proves herself by:
- being responsive
- sending you the correct volume of content multiple times
- performing the verifications when asked
If she doesn’t do those things, then you don’t have shit.
There’s no difference in quality
When I first started recruiting, I decided to pull people from an adult jobs website.
I started DMing people and quickly realized that many of them were flaky, unreliable, and low quality workers.
At first, I wrote it off as them just being low quality human beings. After all, people who turn to sex work usually do so for lack of a better option.
However, what I realized when I started recruiting from other platforms is that they’re all low quality.
More specifically, you are going to run into the same problems regardless of where you recruit from.
Many will be flaky, many will be unreliable, and many will disappear as soon as it seems like they have to start doing some work.
It’s for this reason now that I believe that recruiting is 100% a NUMBERS GAME.
The more people you touch, the greater the chances that you will stumble upon an inevitable superstar who does what you ask, when you ask.
And this job is all about finding superstars.
Doesn’t matter how hot she is or how good her content is if she doesn’t provide any when you ask.
I would rather take a 400 lb cow with one leg that follows orders like a Nazi soldier than a svelte thoroughbred with double Ds who I have to chase.
Recruiting as a pathway to experience
It’s hard to believe it hasn’t even been 2 months since I started this journey because it feels like I’ve come so far in a very short period of time.
Still not where I want to be, but I believe that if I continue down this path that I’ll be there by the 6 month mark.
I believe that the reason I’ve come so far in such a short period of time can be narrowed down to 3 factors:
- Joining agency owner groups and learning from others
- Writing about my progress in these journey threads
- Maintaining an imbalanced focus on recruiting
I’ll talk about 1 & 2 in another post, but focusing on recruiting is something that I believe has allowed me to make a lot of progress very quickly.
In this business, you don’t have shit until you have a model who is willing to work.
You can have the best Tinder bot in the world and own all of the top subreddits, but if you don’t have a model who is willing to put in the work then it’s all meaningless.
And girls like that do not grow on trees.
She can have 100k followers on IG and 1 million on TikTok, but if she’s not willing to do the work then she’s 100% useless to us.
Not only that, but the problem is compounded by the fact that these girls are some of the most bold-faced liars I’ve ever met in my life. They’ll straight up tell you they’re excited and willing to do the work and then disappear on you five minutes later.
Focusing on recruiting has done a lot for me, and I believe it can do a lot for other newbies as well.
For one thing, it’s allowed me to identify what makes a good model over a bad one.
It’s also shown me that I need to EXPLICITLY tell these girls what I expect of them.
It’s shown me that 1 good model is worth 100 shitty ones.
Recruiting is 80% of this business, if not more. If you have good models (traffic providers, chatters, and partners for that matter) on your team then you’re headed for good things.
But if you’ve surrounded yourself with shitty models then you’re in for a rough time.
Good luck out there.
