The modern canon of beauty and health forces us to do unbelievable things. Here and there the advertisements talk about secrets of how to be healthy and beautiful. Thousands of clinics and hospitals propose different types of massages, injections of beauty, thalassotherapy etc. The most famous therapy of the 21st century is detoxification. Social media actively advertises with the help of famous people the centres where you can detox your body. You may ask what is detoxification? Detoxification is the physiological or medical removal of toxic substances from your body. The main toxins are in your liver.
I am not disputing against the usefulness of detoxification. But the main problem is that a lot of famous and modern clinics don’t know the biochemistry of our body, and don’t have the medical education. They want just to earn money. Because of that becomes more frequent situations when a person feels worse than before the detoxification. Just think about it, a 40-year-old woman or man decides to have detoxification. This woman is not guilty that she wants to be beautiful. Once she crosses the doorstep of a detox clinic she must live there for 2–6 weeks to detoxify fully her organism. What happens next? The next step is food restriction, her daily routine will be broken up. The most horrible part is food restriction. Just think about it, she has lived 40 years, she has eaten what she wanted, and her body has gotten in the way of existing with some type of food. Moreover, such food was not so healthy. Suddenly she finds herself in a very hard situation where she should eat very healthy food, and drink a lot of juice, smoothies etc. She undergoes different manipulations such as cleaning her stomach, and liver. She takes the pills against parasites. Of course, she will feel not so good because it’s a kind of stress for her body. It would be better to stay home and just start learning about the healthy way of life, about food and how to clean the body in a natural and unharmful way. But she didn’t want it because she wanted an immediate positive result. Moreover, once she comes back home she will start to live the same way she did because nothing has changed in her mind. At first, a person should start changing his mind and only then the change will come. And it won’t be harmful to such people to eat green salads or drink green smoothies and juices.
