This is going to be about my thoughts of my product design capstone projects using the Theory U method.
- A truck light company
At the beginning of my capstone design project, our sponsor was obsessed with making mechanical improvements to their truck light product. There company’s name is TruckLite and they’ve been focusing on design and manufacturing the light components for trucks.
- Are we a truck light company?
When we took the project, we asked ourselves, “Why are we trying to improve truck lights?” With the development of the automatic vehicle, lights aren’t necessary for the future as the road conditions are scanned with ultralight cameras. What are the problems we should be solving right now?
- We’re a logistics company
We make lights to ensure the safety of trucks, while trucks are made to delivery stuff, so our goal was actually delivering stuff to people in a more effective way. Therefore we established our new business and design goals to be developed in the near future.
