We hear it all the time. “I’m so jealous of Peter’s brand new $150.000 Mercedes!” NO! Please stop thinking like that!

Jealousy is a big part of the world we currently live in. And to be honest, I can’t blame you or anyone for that. We all post pictures of our expensive purchases on Instagram and Facebook and Twitter and Pinterest and… Get the point? But, one thing we don’t do, is post on Facebook when we can’t pay our electricity bill or when we’re having troubles paying for gasoline. Because what would other people think of me? Again I can’t blame you. I too posted pictures of the expensive trip I made to London, or all the expensive computer parts I bought. But I’m not the kind of person that’s jealous of what other people (can) buy.

But don’t you want to have a lot of money too?

Yes I do. But the way to get there will be awfully hard for you if all you do in life is being jealous of people that have already achieved what you want to achieve.

Think about it this way: Instead of being jealous OF Peter. Be inspired BY him.. See what I did there? Don’t spend your days looking at Peter’s life and questioning why you don’t have his money. Spend your days looking at HOW Peter got there. What did he do? How did he do it? Reverse engineer what he did and apply it on yourself. This way you can maybe find something you’re good at.

Don’t be jealous of, Be inspired by!

This post was inspired by one of Gary Vaynerchuk ‘s latest video’s. He’s a big inspiration of me. (See? I’m not jealous)
