On the weird feeling of being a “top writer.”
Elliot Nichols

I have mixed feelings about it. Last week I received this email, awarding me as a top writer on Television.

I write for a personal need, but I understand exactly what you mean about what happens when you hit Publish. It does changes expectations, and some reconnaissance always feel good.

On the other hand, I have eight published stories on Television. Seven of then were republished stories about The Night Of from a personal blog, with basically no sharing. They have achieved only one visualization each.

(I’m from Brazil and these stories are in Portuguese)

So how the hell did I become a top writer? Maybe Television lacks writers in number. Maybe I’m over thinking some kind of reconnaissance. I don’t know.

But congrats on your achievement, Fiction is a popular tag.
