Description:

In this lab, we will be applying what we know about input devices, output devices, mechanics, and serial communication to invent a new musical instrument.

For homework, we are going to make an interactive game with musical instrument, named Hopscotch.

let’s make Hopscotch interactive with music!

In the input part, we measure steps by rock-paper-scissors game results in using Force Sensitive Resistors and Capacitive Sensing. Only the winner has the chance to move forward one step.

Description:

For this week’s lab, we listened Adam’s lecture and got the knowledge of different mechanics. The “Cuckoo Clock” mechanics has two sides:

  1. a door that opens and closes
  2. a bird that leaps forward and backward.

Cuckoo Clock typically has an automaton of the bird that appears through a small trap door while the clock is striking.

In the homework, Me and my friend Weiying partnered together and made a crane clock. We made a pully door system and there’s a paper crane leaping forward and backward. As we pull the string, the paper crane would be out of the door (trap).
