Connecting to EC2 Instance Linux | Ubuntu | Ultimate Guide
I hope you remember my previous article. (How to Create AWS EC2 Instance.) Today I would like to discuss how to connect to it easily.
Prerequisites=> You should have at least one of these software’s installed
Putty (with Putty-gen) or X shell-> This is required to connect with ec2 with a command line (Shell) as well as converting the received .pem key file into .pek file. (Putty-gen).
Also, you might need an FTP client like FileZilla or WinSCP. I’ll go with Putty & WinSCP as all-time favorites. You can download the software from here.
Download PuTTY | Download WinSCP
I previously created a Linux instance. First, we connect to that.
Before all, we need to convert our .pem key file to .pek. For that I use Putty-gen. Load the .pem file into Putty-gen and after you successfully load it, you can see the Notice dialog box.
