Pepsi Nama — Japan’s exclusive variant of Pepsi with a “raw taste”

What Is Pepsi Nama (Or “Pepsi Raw”)?

If you can’t read Japanese, it’s almost impossible to recognize that this is not a regular can of Pepsi.

After all, there’s no English text to advise you of this as all you’re left with are the words “Pepsi” and “Cola” on the front.

However, the big Japanese character in the middle “生” (pronounced nama), translates to “raw,” suggesting an unfiltered taste of some sort.

There is some truth to this because Pepsi Nama is in fact made with a blend of unheated spices in an attempt to keep the flavor…
