Hi and welcome to my profile! Now that you are here, let me tell you a bit about my background and career aspirations. I am an industrial engineer with 8+ years of work experience in Supply Chain Management. I use simulation, mathematical optimization and data science tools to solve seemingly complex Supply Chain problems. These include network design, facility location, resource planning, inventory optimization and scheduling, among others. I also pay attention to the scalability of my models/solutions, i.e., many of them are hosted on cloud or local storages and stakeholders can use them whenever they want to. Also given the complexity of the problems, I deploy algorithms that are able to provide results within a reasonable time frame. Apart from the main work, I do teaching and I love sharing knowledge with others. Here are some bullet points about myself: • Eight years of experience in SCM, including 1.5 years of experience as Production Department Manager • MIT graduate – Master's degree in Supply Chain Management (SCM) • Expertise in simulation and mathematical optimization • Expertise in data science, math and statistics, Python • Knowledge of cloud systems, creating and scaling solutions • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified • Research skills; article published in a recognized journal • Fluent in six languages; able to adapt to multicultural environments Please feel free to reach out to me if I can be of any assistance. My e-mail address: yahmadov@alum.mit.edu Key knowledge areas and competencies: Supply Chain Management, Network Design, E-commerce, Optimization, Operations Research, Simulation, Data Science, Machine Learning, Production Planning and Control, Logistics, Big Data, AnyLogic, Gurobi.
