Tell the Truth or, at least, don’t Lie
Have you ever considered your level of honesty? I guess this question is worth exploring. So, let me talk about this bizarre question further down the lines. By the end of reading this post, I’m sure you would have some ideas on your level of honesty and how you can try to become a more honest person. Before everything else, let me tell you something. Honesty is a virtue and is challenging to achieve.
See, the way we speak determines our behaviors and fathom our influence in our lives. Let me tell you how. Speaking is a powerful tool we, human beings, have been granted. Unlike other creatures, we can talk and communicate our thoughts easily with people. We utter things that are either true, assumptions, or just a false claim. As wise and intelligent species, our responsibility is to communicate what is true in a conscious state. Nothing ELSE. However, as we live in this age of advancement and technology, we do not communicate the truths most of the time, and sadly, we are not conscious most of the time. Therefore, we don’t have an idea of what we are saying. Hence, speaking becomes just a normal thing.
For the next week, make a plan that you will only talk about what is true. See what changes you observe in your life. It is a difficult determination. That’s why we don’t find many more honest people in the world these days. Let’s say you cannot communicate the truth, so then, what? Just stay silent. That’s it.
There’s no magic in becoming an honest person. It is just practice and determination.
