Elon was the 1st Son of South African engineer Errol Musk and Canadian Model Mai Musk. His parents divorced in 1980, and after that, Elon spend most of his time with his father in South Africa.
His childhood was not very happy. Often boys of the same age would tease them and would not stop beating them. Once Elon was thrown down the stairs by a group of boys and beaten so much that he became unconscious.
At the age of 10, Elon became interested in computer programming. And at the age of 12, Elon sold a computer game written in basic language to a computer magazine for about 500$.
After college in South Africa in June 1989, Elon’s father wanted to enlist in the military, and 18-year-old, Elon came to Canada, to avoid conscription and obtained Canadian citizenship because of his Canadian Mother.
In 1995, he moved to California, where he enrolled at Stanford University for a PhD in applied physics, but quit after just 2 days to start new businesses in fields as diverse as renewable energy, the internet and space travel can fulfil the dream of starting.

Then in 1995, Elon his Brother Kimble and Greg Corey founded the web software company zip2, borrowing money from Elon’s father.
He started the project in a small rented office in Palo Alto, the company developed and marketed an internet city guide to the newspaper publishing industry, with pages containing maps, directions and phone directories.
Compaq bought zip2 in Feb 1999 for 307$ million, and Elon received 22$ million for his 7 per cent share. According to Elon before this website was created, he could not afford to rent an office or an apartment.
