The elder scrolls v : skyrim, is one of the all the time fav game.

One of the best action offline Role Playing Game. Developed by Bethesda, Released in PS3 and PC platform. The same developer for Fallout and other famous The elder scrolls series. For the fifth sequel of the game series itself,it still sitting as the best one yet. Skyrim is one example of every gamer dream come true.

The story itself setbacks around 200 years after the prequel The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion. The lore revolves around a character called Dragonborn, a mortal born with the soul and power of a dragon.

Here are the lists of why I think skyrim is the best RPG game of all time.

· REPLAYABILITY, EXCELLENT GAMEPLAY

This one point is the most important one for me subjectively. Why Replayability?

Okay, you play one amazing game with amazing lore, you just finished the main lore and all the side quests. You sit there, wondering what will you do next? Of course for some games, you’re just going to uninstall it. But with skyrim even though you already finished the main quest and you already know by heart all the lines in the first minute of skyrim

“Hi you. You are finally awake”

Multiple endings.

Multiple ending creates world. World that is explorable. With a world, player wants to explore it. They are curious about the other possibilities. And skyrim, bethesda is the master of it.

Costumization.

Players have the option to develop their character. At the beginning of the game, players create their character by selecting their sex and choosing between one of several races which have a huge role in character’s build. Player,at start usually make one character focus on specific skill then play again to have a character with different set of skills.

Dont you want your waifu to be in the game with you for the next hundred of hours!

· VISUAL

Judging this is a 2011 published game. Well the graphic is pretty high end fot its time. it was a lot of improvement from oblivion, A LOT. The environments are vast, it’s beautiful. You’ll get a wide spectrum of environment diversity. You’ll get to see snowy montain with its tundra and you can catch yourself riding your horse inside an autumn forest, it’s definitely better than your room.

The city feels real, you’ll get that instant warm feeling when you’re inside strolling around looking for someone to increase your pickpocketing skill or just looking for some inn, getting some food (more like every food in the inn). Again, bethesda is the best at making the environment. The character is also more detailed, with more realistic npc doing their daily activities, definitely not as artificial as it is in oblivion.

Not just that,After releasing the game Bethesda released an official HD enchancer mod for the game. Though, some players doesn’t see any changes but I can see the water looks more realistic.

Other than that, you can rely on a lot of community mods that enchance the graphic and make it more immersive as the time goes on. You can make it as high end as today.

· PLOT AND QUESTS

To have a game that will leave a mark in every player heart is to have a game with a good lore that makes the player wants to actually finish in all in one period because they don’t want to lose the feel and excitement.

Skyrim itself is a part of huge universe of The Elder Scrolls series Two hundred years have passed since the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and it is now 4E 201. The High King of Skyrim has been killed, and the threat of Civil War looms over the land of Skyrim; One side wishes to secede from the weakened Third Empire, while the other wishes to remain a part of it. To make matters worse, this schism is the final event in a prophecy foretold by the Elder Scrolls that will lead to the return of the dragons under Alduin, the Nordic god of destruction.

The story is presented so perfectly that sometimes you forgot that you actually overplayed the game. Another “just one more quest and i’m done”.

The game itself can took about 100 hours to complete all the main quests with all the side quests and all) amount of quest content in Skyrim. While the ‘main’ quest only lasts a few hours (about 20 hours), there’s enough extra content to keep interested players going at it for a long, long time. Yeah, to be honest the main quest is pretty much a flop knowing that the background’s conflict is so vast like the whole tamriel is on race war and the dragon coming back. But you can actually finish all the main lore in just one sit. On the other side the side quests are genuinely engaging. My favourite one is the dark brotherhood side quest, I remember I bought the actual official jacket back in the middle school for this one because the story is unique and beautiful. About a group of belief based assasins, you can actually have a game based on this one.

And every npc you see in game except bunch of stormcloaks and imperals, have their own story. With those side quests you can trail back their past and present, Their relationship with other npcs and their lifetime ambition.

Not to mention marriage! through a brief courtship process the player may marry select characters of either gender, offering a housemate as well as a range of spouse-exclusive benefits. You can adopt children if you also play the DLC.

You need to know about the BOOKS. It amazes me that Bethesda actually have time to make all those books and every books actually contains a story that’s pretty much enjoyable.

There’s an interesting skyrim’s books review by polygon. He actually reviewed and read all the 337 books!!

The book itself support the main lore and you can actually learn the whole background of the elder scrolls about the earth, the goddess and the dragonborn itself. Well you can actually learn how to cook something!

· MODS COMMUNITY

This point is the core on why skyrim is ceaseless. The community is what makes skyrim, skyrim!.

6 years after its released, Skyrim is still highly playable and will still for another couple of years. The mod community is impressive and In my opinion the best mod community of all time. I mean where do you get a community that includes master like elianora.

Ever heard about the infamous beyond skyrim? It’s one of the most growing mod project. They actually creates a world beyond skyrim. You need to understand that TES sequels are based on one province for each franchise. TES itself is based on tamriel continent. Like the continent which holds all of those provinces. Beyond skyrim is working on making all the tamriel accessible for players.

Okay beyond skyrim looks promising and somewhat notable. But what actually makes the community is a real hype is the lulz.that weird anime head mod you really want to install because you feel like you have to.

Like installing Thomas the dank dragon just to see how Thomas save the day by saving the dragonborn life by pretty much killing and ruining the whole village. So much for a hero.

Overall the mod community is vastly wild, makes you think how one individual actually sit and productively developed a chicken horse mod,Naruto in tamriel, and as mentioned before Thomas the dank dragon. Not to mention notorious mod’s community that is build upon kinkiness and solely serves it purposes ;)

Sadly,I guess in 2015? I remember the whole community gone chaos about valve decision to turn all the community into paid-mods community. So the player needs to pay in order to use the mod. Well there are different perspective in this one. Some say it supports the mod maker and makes them more productive, because they actually get paid to make a chicken horse. On the other side, well it’s not free.

Anyway the free mods community is still alive and for some, even better than the paid ones. But valve is still consistent to keep the idea even though in one period around 2016 they cancelled it temporarily.
