A recent study of people who have been addicted to Ambien has shown that it can take up to six months for the brain to recover from the addiction. The study was done on 30 people who had been addicted to Ambien for a year or more. These people were then put into three groups: no therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and medication-assisted therapy.

The results showed that those in the medication-assisted therapy group were able to recover faster than those in the other two groups. The cognitive behavioral therapy group was able to recover about as fast as those in the no therapy group, but it took about twice as long for them to get back on track with their lives than those in the medication-assisted group.

The study also showed that the cognitive behavioral therapy group was able to have more success in their life after the six-month mark than those in the no therapy group. It is important to note that this study only looked at people who had been addicted to Ambien over a year, so it is not known whether or not long-term recovery rates would be similar
