January 15, 2016 started like any other day
In Wilmington, North Carolina, the cold January day started as normally as any other day.
30-year-old Ebonee Shanetta Spears visited her parents to have breakfast at their place. Ebonee seemed like herself, which was a relief for her parents who found her the night before acting disoriented.
Before Ebonee left her parents’ home, they decided that she would come over for dinner later that day.
But plans changed, and Ebonee called them at 7PM to announce she wouldn’t come, as she had already eaten something.
After this call, things start to get weird. She was seen at the Boys and Girls Club some time later in the evening.
Almost immediately after that, she tried to make a phone call at the Wilmington Police Department’s lobby, but didn’t manage to work the telephone.
