A Bright Girl

It’s impossible to describe Veronica Taylor’s character in one word. Her family remember the 13-year-old girl as a happy person who had a bright appearance and always looked for the people around her.

As a sixth-grader, she visited the Murfee Elementary School in her hometown Lubbock, located in Texas. Veronica’s home was in a complex that was named Phoenix Apartments.

At school, teachers loved Veronica, according to her aunt Lorene Taylor, who hopes to keep the girl’s case alive years after everything happened.

More than that, Veronica was also active in the choir of the local church. All in all, she was just a normal 13-year-old living her life like any child is supposed to do.

Never Back at Home
