The First Day at Ypsilanti International

Many of you know the excitement and anxiety we’ve been experiencing as we open our new school. Ypsilanti International Elementary School came to fruition after hundreds of hours from many individuals, including our dedicated principal, Cassandra Sheriff, and her administrative assistant Lisa Imbrunnone.

Last Tuesday we welcomed dozens of new families to the district and gave warm hugs to our YCS grizzlies. With a renewed energy buzzing among staff, parents — and most importantly, the kids, we know our district has grown in an even more positive ways than we could have ever imagined. See for yourself!

Thank you, to all the hard-working maintenance and facilities workers, for helping us bring back families to a sparkling new school. And many, many thanks to our teachers who turned a new school into a home for our students and families. We can already tell it’s going to be a smashing year!
