Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V1 Legit Check Guide

You know what it is, after releasing the V2 Legit Check Guide, I decided to post a V1 Legit Check Guide for those who love the V1 silhouette like myself.

Back to the Basics

Left Pirate Black V1 // Right Oxford Tan V1

Main thing you are looking for here is that the “human” is clear and not pixelated. Always check the codes with the inside tag and box to make sure they match up.

Getting Into It

Let’s focus on the shape, one of the easiest call outs is a low sock liner, if it’s low, flip over the shoe and I’ll put money down the boost is off.

Let’s look at the pull tab next, it should be pretty close to the sock liner, and mostly running at an angle with the sock liner as well. Sometimes it can be slightly off, but having it in the general ball park is key.

The sole ridges should go all the way up reaching the prime knit. If they don’t, they’re probably budget fakes to begin with.

Study this. No rep has gotten the YZY suede patch 1:1. Look at how deep the emboss is, and how thick the YZY is. This is one of the first things I look for in a LC for V1’s. Similar to how Boost don’t lie, YZY suede doesn’t lie either. Be careful with used pairs, I’ve seen some where it’ll be hard to see the YZY due to fuzzing of the suede patch.

Looking at the boost is one of the best ways to tell if you have a real pair. If there is a “phantom nipple” or a singular dot between the lone 7 dot pattern and the rest of the 6 dot pattern, their fake. Specifically they’re god batch fakes. Boost never lies, the texture should be very defined and when feeling the boost, it should be both firm and responsive at the same time. It won’t feel as soft and squishy like V2’s.

Make sure “R” part of the adidas logo is skinny, it is different from V2

The insole number should be very thin, if it’s thick like the V2 it’s fake.

You should see three ridges on the side for the insole.

Focus on the adidas trefoil, it should be cleanly printed. If they are worn like mine they can start to crack or peel off.

Stitching should be clean and neat along the heel.

Where the middle stitching meets the sole you should feel a small bump. Every size will have their own pattern, make sure the pattern on the left side of the middle stitching matches with the left and right shoe. And the pattern on the right side matches with each other as well. What you don’t want is the left side pattern matching with any right side pattern.

The middle stitching should seamlessly blend with the upper. Reps for the oxford tans haven’t gotten this right yet, so it’s an easy call out for fakes on OT.

What I generally look for in the pull tab is the overall shape. Notice how it hugs the heel so closely, on the reps, it’ll stick out way more. I’ve seen depending on your size variation between dot count.

For the inside tag, the font is bold and thick. Always check codes to make sure they match up to your shoe box as well.

As always be careful when purchasing Yeezys, there are a bunch of fakes out in the market, but once you’ve seen enough retail Yeezys and studied what the call out for fakes are you’ll be able to sucessfully LC your own Yeezy Boost 350 V1.
