Who has access to my PayLeaf account and my wallet?
Only you. Through our innovative key handling mechanism, a wallet is created behind your Google account, to which only you have access. You are the only one who can transfer the assets in your account
How is the private key created?
Behind your PayLeaf account is an actual wallet which consists of a keypair including the private key. The user starts by generating a 2 out of 3 (2/3) Shamir Secret Sharing. This gives the user three shares: ShareA, ShareB, and ShareC. One share on the device, one encrypted behind the OAuth provider (Google), one as backup key.
How do I obtain the private key?
Similar to existing 2FA systems, a user needs to prove ownership of at least 2 out of 3 (2/3) shares, in order to retrieve his private key. This initial setup provides several benefits.
Who has ownership of the PayLeaf wallet?
With PayLeaf, users handle keys similar to a multi-factor account, where they use their OAuth login, devices, and other factors to manage their key pairs. The full cryptographic private keys of users are not recorded anywhere on the Key Infrastructure system, even on any of our databases as well as participating nodes
