The struggle is real

Whether a job, a relationship, a house.
Or just simply being.
There will always be the friend with the great relationship, awesome figure, perfect job.
Flaunting them on social media.
While all you can do is try to make ends meet and get through another day.
Not that the friend doesn’t have any struggles.
I’m sure she does, swept carefully under the rug.
You just can’t see it.
What can we do when we seem constantly stuck, battling setbacks and relationship dead ends?
All we can do is nurture ourselves.
Put one foot in front of the other and get through the day, gently and calmly.
Following any lead patiently in our job search.
Showing up at our current job and putting in the effort.
Pursuing each date with openness and lightness,
Without attaching any long-term expectations from day one.
Treating our deserving friendships with care.
Just like we do with our writing, as we sit in front of our computer and start typing words.
One word after another.
Then something magical happens, all our scattered thoughts start aligning.
And we hope that just as our writing comes together, our life will come together when we take the one step after another.
