The Team is uploading the contents regarding YGGDRASH before launching its MainNet on 1104.

As the third content, we would like to explain the features of YGGDRASH INTERCHAIN part 2.

Diverse Problems of Other INTERCHAINs

Bitcoin and Ethereum cannot be traded directly. This is because they have a different consensus protocol and each platform cannot recognize each other’s transactions.

Or even if there might be a compatible currency from the beginning, they rarely compromise each other. And if a system supports swapping, one side of cryptocurrency might lose its value after swapping, so the holders would oppose it.

Most INTERCHAINs Feature

Blockchains, which have different backgrounds, developer pools, validators, and communities, have too many steps to discuss, including how long it takes to settle, and do an electronic signature. In addition, nodes and communities are likely to refuse to value their cryptocurrency. As a result, most INTERCHAIN projects focus on the exchange of cryptocurrencies. It’s easy because it can remain on the business side.

YGGDRASH’s Total INTERCHAIN

YGGDRASH focuses on certain parts of the process. YGGDRASH’s INTERCHAIN is a `deterministic INTERCHAIN solution’. The Team has only focused on the results that specify significant confidence data. Since it does not change, so the result is stable. This is an exact way to interfere with other projects’ processes. ‘Certainty’ was the most important in this project. If not, we thought that we wouldn’t be able to reach the actual business model. If we connect this gathered data to YGGDRASH MainNet, we consider that we would be able to deliver data to other blockchains quickly. There are examples below.

1. INTERCHAIN Between BRANCH CHAINs

BRANCH CHAIN is YGGDRASH’s DApp with independent blockchain specifications. Basically, BRANCH CHAINs do not communicate with each other, however, when other projects open the Network Port, they can interact through the STEM CHAIN. This is one of the biggest reasons for creating a DApp in YGGDRASH.

2. Interactions Between BRANCH CHAINs and Other Platforms

BRANCH CHAIN does not simply interact with other BRANCH CHAIN. BRANCH CHAIN is able to get other platform’s data through STEM CHAIN. It can create a new transaction after receiving the Ethereum’s smart contract result. Then such data and interactions will deliver to other BRANCH CHAINs like a spider’s web. Hence, new forms of blockchain ecosystems are formed.created.

3. Interaction of Different External Platforms

The data, which is processed in Ethereum, quickly deliver to Bitcoin, and Bitcoin deliver its data to Ethereum. In the middle, YGGDRASH translates the data into what each platform can understand and gives the results. We would take each blockchain data as an example. When a transaction occurs in A project, YGGDRASH MainNet immediately discovers the data and interprets it. After the process, the data will be replaced with a readable value so that the B project can read it. This is the ‘One Way INTERCHAIN Solution’ where the A project and YGGDRASH MainNet are tied together and the data is processed into the B project. The key to this solution is ‘the technology of interpreting digital signatures’. In order to be provided INTERCHAIN system, external platforms should stake YEED and the fee will be incurred. This fee is provided with Burn / DPOS rewards and promote ecosystems and provide positive impacts.

Conclusion

Team YGGDRASH hopes that diverse external blockchain platforms can exchange data by using this solution and create a synergy. In addition, we hope that blockchain platforms can interact with YGGDRSH’s DApps by creating new value. With this desire, we have created a new name for Total INTERCHAIN solution: RATATOSKR (Ratatosk).

New Name of YGGDRASH INTERCHAIN

The YGGDRASH project is inspired by Nordic mythology. ‘YGGDRASH’ is a compound word of ‘YGGDRASIL’ and ‘HASH’ in Nordic mythology. In the same vein, the Team has decided our INTERCHAIN’s name as ‘RATATOSKR’.

Ratatosk (Ancient Nordic: Ratatoskr) is a squirrel that lives on the stem of the mythical tree, yggdrasil. Ratatosk delivers a message while running mythical trees. This is in accord with YGGDRASH’s goal: to help communication between various blockchains.

YGGDRASH RATATOSKR’s mission is to create new values by connecting various blockchain projects.
