I designed an app for water quality in the Puget Sound area for the citizens who want to acknowledge more in this field. The app basically includes all files and databases people can search on the internet. I sketched my first thoughts down on a paper, and used Marvel design to create a prototype of the app.

I really like the process of designing this app. It is actually more challenging than I thought, because I have to consider many aspects, for instance, how to make it more practical yet not too overwhelming. It helps me to build a better understanding of the meaning of human-centered design, and I have to make the app both attractive and informative.

This app can be a great tool for the researchers to share their collected data with others, and people can report pollutions by uploading files with their own description of where is the place that is polluted, how bad is it ,and pictures that can show the pollution scene. I think in the future, the water pollution is going to be a big issue. People have the right know if the water around them is safe. Scientists can then have a better media to share their research to the public.
