According to their report, they got over 100K high quality responses for ground truth data determining how hard or easy it was to find parking from its users who opted to share their location data. I’m sure they also had more historical parking data from all of its Maps and Waze users from the past. Relatively speaking, logistic regression doesn’t need as much data as deep learning networks to train, so perhaps 100K responses were more than enough.
