Why Judge and be Judged?

Just be like the Sun.

Just like the sun does not change the way it shines gives heat, be like that. It is others who talk of it from their perspective, all varying from the good to the bad and sometimes rather ugly. Sun has a fixed place in the solar system and is part of the Milky Way in which it moves. Here on Earth people talk of the Sun being hot, the Sun rising and the sun setting. Sometimes on overcast and cold days people say that the Sun is not shining.

Where does the truth lie?

The truth lies in the simple attempt of clearing the thoughts and getting a different perspective. Sun is hot, surely it is, but not in the manner in which people often talk about its heat. The Solar Flares and the Sun Spots and the properties of the Sun that affect us. But on a certain days to say that the Sun is hot mayn’t be true. It is more of a judgemental statement. People judge the Sun! If someone were to check if the Sun has really become hotter it would be in all likelihood prove to be otherwise. Just like the Sun has not shown itself is a very incorrect statement. It has shown like every other day, only that the clouds have also come up, hiding the Sun and adding to the cold. The Sun continues in its journey across the Universe unabated, not bothered about what we on the Earth say about it. It does not allow to be judged by anyone. It has its own nature and somehow it sticks to its nature unfettered. If you know your nature and understand it, make peace with yourself. Only then you would not be judged by the what others have to say.

Similarly, never judge others. In this age of maximising growth and super consumption driven by relentless marketing, everything has started being defined by judgements of the people by the people themselves. Only the blessed are spared the agony and might I say they are the wise amongst us. People have started putting other people in various slots of social order. They also put themselves in some slot which is a little better or worse vis-a-vis other people. Call it an outcome of the idea of survival of the fittest as propagated by Herbert Spencer the effects are there for everyone to see and experience. Driven by the marketing strategies playing on the weaker aspects of human psychology, people easily get manipulated and start judging others around them as much as themselves. When they judge others their perception of others often gets masked and over a period of time of continuously judging others they loose their ability to see in a logical perspective and not judge. Today it has become difficult to accept the others they way they are. People judge others rather than accepting the way they are. The Good and bad is more a matter of judgement rather than the result of considered opinion. This yields to a certain created distress that eats up within. If someone for once stops judging others based on a comparative chart, then surely they would be inviting peace within themselves and be happier.

Just like the Sun, be yourself, neither be judged nor judge.
