【History】Landmark of Odaiba to disappear

Venus Fort has long been a major landmark in Odaiba waterfront area in Tokyo. Ferris Wheel enables us to have a great command of view across Tokyo. Shopping malls and restaurants have offered us opportunity to enjoy with family and friends. Above all it serves as a tourist destination for guests from overseas.

●When it coming to dating

Twenty years ago, speaking of couple dating, Odaiba is an attractive place as it has many place to have romantic experiences in the waterfront area. Among them, I especially prefer car viewing facilities called Mega web. We can have car experience on the facilities, including VR driving and tryout driving of newly launched car.

●Mega web

Toyota motor company have been operating Mega Web, which is an attraction site that gives us have experiences of tryout for driving a newly launching car and exhibits the history of vehicles. Children can enjoy driving a miniatured car and learn the traffic rules and safe driving.

●Japanese people learn as well

Mega Web had given us an opportunity to touch on the history of automobiles accompanied by rapid growth of economy in Japan. Exhibitions of cars enable us to imagine Japan has relied upon vehicles. But the shutdown of Mega Web facility tells us that the era is changing into another phase amid COVID, which is somewhat symbolic of confusion in Japan and the world.

●Always be remembered

Divercity, Aqua city and other commercial facilities will support Odaiba. I’m looking forward to seeing new facilities some years from now after COVID subsides. I will never forget the days with Venus Fort.

Thank you for kindness, thank you for your tenderness, thank you for smile, thank you for your love, thank for everything.
